Shelf prices this week: what went up and what went down
Every night we read the prices of the same products in the same shops. The index compares each product with itself a week earlier — no basket weights, no estimates, only prices that were actually on the shelf both days.

Source: our own nightly reading of shelf prices in 11 chains (Co.opmart, WinMart, Kingfoodmart; Thế Giới Di Động, Điện Máy Xanh, FPT Shop, CellphoneS, Phong Vũ, Điện Máy Chợ Lớn, GearVN, MemoryZone). Not manufacturer prices, not promises — the price shown to a buyer that night.
For each product in each chain we take the price on the latest day and on the day closest to seven days earlier. Only pairs where the product was on sale both days are counted; products that appeared or disappeared do not move the index.
The change of a group is the geometric mean of the individual changes — so one item that doubled cannot drag a category by itself. Ratios above ×3 or below ÷3 are treated as re-listings and dropped.
“Up” and “down” count products whose price moved by more than 0.5 %. Groups with fewer than 10 pairs are not shown.
History starts on 15 September 2026, so the first weeks compare against the earliest available day; 30-day and 90-day views will appear as the history grows.

Journalists and researchers may quote the index freely with a link to this page. The CSV contains every group by chain.
